[Back to Kinase ROR1]
Substrate: LATS2

Description: Serine/threonine-protein kinase LATS2 (EC 2.7.11.1) (Large tumorsuppressor homolog 2) (Serine/threonine-protein kinase kpm) (Kinasephosphorylated during mitosis protein) (Warts-like kinase).

Synonyms: KPM

Ensembl ID: ENSG00000150457

UniprotKB/SwissProt: LATS2_HUMAN (Q9NRM7)

Function: Tumor suppressor which plays a critical role in centrosome duplication, maintenance of mitotic fidelity and genomic stability. Negatively regulates G1/S transition by down- regulating cyclin E/CDK2 kinase activity. Negative regulator of the androgen receptor.

Other Modifications: View all modification sites in dbPTM

Protein Subcellular Localization: Centrosome. Cytoplasm. Note=Co-localizes with STK6 at the centrosomes during interphase, early prophase and cytokinesis. Migrates to the spindle poles during mitosis, and to the midbody during cytokinesis.
